On Saturday, February 13, 2016, the best marathoners in the United States will take their place on the starting line in Los Angeles to vye for a spot on the 2016 U.S. Olympic Team. Countless years of pounding the trails and pavement have led to this moment, and Marc Pro is proud to be a partner with the Hudson Elite team, which has four athletes competing in the event, including: Matt Daniels, Addie Bracey, Kara Lubeniecki, and Claudia Beque.
A total of 10 athletes live and train in Boulder, Colorado under the advisement of Coach Brad Hudson. As professional runners of various running events (from track races to long-distance road racing), these athletes are always looking for the latest and best tools that can help in both recovery and enhanced training. In addition, the Hudson Elite team is constantly searching for the best ways to stay in top-shape while traveling. Joanna Murphy, a member of the Hudson Elite team says, “Marc Pro is a great way to keep the legs fresh while traveling. I’ll use it on the plane or during long car rides to avoid the “dead leg” feeling that happens during travel.
Hudson Elite is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to working with community members to advocate health and wellness, and to also help others reach their running goals and find ways to prevent injuries. Community members have been exposed to the Marc Pro and the device’s benefits at this year’s Hudson Elite Gala and through other community events.
Bobby Stuckey, a 46-year old marathon enthusiast in Boulder, works on his feet six nights a week, and has been using the Marc Pro for himself after being introduced to the device from the Hudson Elite team. Stuckey comments, “I loved using the Marc Pro the last few weeks of my Los Angeles Marathon Prep. Using it in the morning after a long night of work has released my glutes and actually made me more flexible and relaxed for the upcoming workout. Coincidentally, I had my two best end-of-the-marathon efforts after using it.”
The entire Marc Pro team wishes the athletes competing at the U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials this Saturday the best of luck as they compete for a top-3 spot for the U.S. Olympic Marathon team!
